Quarry Mining is proud to be involved in a Hunter first fundraiser initiative raising awareness for Prostate Cancer. The Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch (BEBL) is to be held at Merewether Surf House on May 31st.
The purpose of the initiative is to try to encourage businesses to educate and empower their male staff to look after their health, go for checks as needed and be open to talking about any concerns they may have.
As an employer of primarily men, and of an age where prevention may be possible with simple checks, support for this key message and the alleviation of any surrounding stigmas is of the utmost importance.
Our committee, headed up by Lyn Thurnham, has secured Jonathan Biggins as the keynote speaker for the luncheon (http://jonathanbiggins.com.au/ ) and Orica will take up naming rights sponsor honours.
Lyn has secured a deal with The PCFA to ensure all funds raised will be kept in The Hunter.
